Does anyone know if integras have a crossover, low pass filter etc on the door tweeters. And if so can you please tell me thier location and any other information that you know about them -thanks
Well that is not entirely true. They do not have a "true" crossover, but a capacitor that is mounted to the back of the tweeter itself. This capacitor filters out the low frequencies. The 6-1/2" woofer gets full range sound, but can only play up to a certain high frequency because of the limitation of the speaker itself.

Also, if you want to replace them, you should not go with a tweeter any larger than .75" in diameter or else you have to modify the grill, door panel, etc... It also helps if there is a screw hole in the bacl of the tweeter as it makes swapping a snap.
Mb Quart's work quite well!
Go read the value on the capacitor, or i'll do it when i get home this weekend (car is already apart)
then just use this handy dandy chart. (L = inductor C= Capacitor)
doh...looks like that host crapped out...http://freehomepages.com/jewyand1/Xover.jpg just in case it ever comes back (not mine..)
Enjoy

There is a crossover for the tweeter. On the back of the tweeter, there is a tiny capacitor. It is a highpass crossover for the tweeter only. The woofer runs full range. Basically, the same setup you find a set of inexpensive coaxial speakers.
