Default just a couple questions for ep3 owners

well i currently have an em2 and an fa5.
im looking into getting an ep3 possibly tomorow.

now my questions:

1.) what are the best cams to put into the ep? cuz i have a set of 24a2 cams and just wondering if it would benefit the motor or hurt it. or should i get 20a cams?

2.) does toda make cams for the ep?

3.) what suspension do u guys think is the best for the ep?

4.) and would a 20a or 24a2 tranny be worth putting on the ep? seems how i want a 6spd ep. i kno most of u guys might say just to swap out the motor but i wanna keep the a3

and thanks. i know im gonna get flamed but i've only test driven an ep but never owned one.

1.) Neither of those cams will swap right into the A3 motor with modding it. If u wanna do the mods to the head to swap those cams in there then it would benefit the motor. On the other hand there is cams out there for the A3 motor that would imo be a better idea to put those in instead of modding the head to fit either the K20A or K24A2 cams.

2.) No they don't

3.) Really depends on what u wanna use the car for. For a daily driver i would look into getting a set of Mugen SS coilovers. If u wanna go with a little more race setup i would look into either the Buddy Club N+ or RSD's. For roadracing or auto-x can't go wrong with the Ground Control/Koni Yellow setup.

4.) I like the 6 spd tranny for the EP3 to lower the RPM's at highway speeds.

skunk2 makes a high performance cam design for the a3 if that's something you are looking for. And the stage 1 cam design can be installed without an upgraded valvetrain.

I would go with either of the Buddy Club setups i mentioned over the Tein. Its a personal opinion though but i had the Tein SS on a previous honda and found it to be a good street setup but thats about it.

If you get lucky or make your own Itb its not that bad... but you usually don't have air filters and need tuning of some sort.... if you haven't got headers, high flow cat, and some exhaust. I wouldn't totaly do that... (also I have seen great deals at time on ITB set ups from people who started it or did it and changed their mine... get oen of those.
