Motor want start?

Default Motor want start?

I just drop in a Z6 in my 91 SI hatchy the motor turns over but it want start, I check the spark the gas and both are OK, the cables are in oder the harnes is hooked up right. The car been parked for like 3 months could it be the old gas thats in it?

fuel pump? pump relay?... off the top of my head.

It can not be the gas. Are you sure there is spark? I had the same problem in a d16a6 and there was no spark at all. I remove #1 spark plug wire and had a friend try to crank the engine over and there was no spark jump across the wire and spark plug. Nothing!! THen I removed the dizzy cap and the igniter was shorted. I replaced the igniter from my old d15 and it started.Check this out common problem, condensation seemed to enter the cap and rusted the terminals and shorted it out. Good luck

check your grounds. there is a main ground to the thermo stat i believe or in that area, but you will notice it when you see it, i had the problem on a d15 replacement motor for my crx it would start. check em out

yep theres a main ground strap on thermostat housing. its the same location for VTEC ground too.

It should now... since the grounds are all hooked up, double check the harness make sure they are hooked up correctly.
