Im buying a teg, i need your opinions on which one's the best out of my list!!!!!
Hey guys,
Im pretty new to this forum, and im looking to buy an integra very soon so any opinion is very helpful. Here is the list of cars and their links. If any of you can tell me which ones you think i should stay away from itll be of great help. (16 getting first car)
DOWN TO 2 OPTIONS
#1 Blue 95 Integra LS, 160kms $4,500 OBO?
http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-car...80620
Car was supposedly red, and was repainted the blue color except for the engine bay. Im not too sure about the door jams. Not too sure if timing belt was changed. Not sure of any accidents.
#2 Red 94 Integra RS 130kms, Will let go for under $6k
http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-car...31200
I have seen this one in person, and the timing belt was changed not too long ago. Stock interior, aftermarket intake, and it also has tein basic coilovers. It also has a straight through exhaust. Only thing is that it has a rebuilt title. Car was hit in the left rear quarter panel by a SUV and was considered a write off due to low black book value. Previous owner bought it back and fixed the damage for a bit over 2k, also the reason for having the cheap ugly altezzas.
He also said it didnt even touch the rear strut so none of the big stuff was hit.
If you guys show me which ones are the best choice id really appreciate it

I think you need to find out more info about car #3, it looks good from the pics (I like the blue), but aslong as the damage isn't as bad as car #4 it seems like a deal. Car #4 seems cool from the pics, but it's all about what you're willing to put up with. Either way, good luck with your decision...
I would get the red rs cuz it looks good , #1 looks like its been through a lot of snow, which cannot be good, and the third one looks good from behind, but the rs is a great one cuz it is lighter than the ls
so besides from the few un-intellegent posts i've read so far.. if your scouting for a "looks" car then go for the Red RS but if your looking for performance, go with the LS.. you'll have alot more options in the end about what you can do. and for the most important concern.. the hell with the looks worry about there past history... how many previous owners did they have?? is the title re-built? because that re-built god knows what else can go wrong.. re-builts have the tendency to fall apart if you hit a smal kitten.. so .. FYI be careful with your decision either way.. I'd go with which ever one had the least amount of drastic history, " no crashing, not alot of racing done to it, Not owned by another kid" etc.. so think carefully
Good luck bro

Why do you say that? Both have the same motor, suspension parts stockwise. Since the red one was already dropped with some tein coilovers, the OP can change it to whatever he likes....or keep them. The RS is technically a bit lighter than the blue car...so how can the blue car have "more performance"?.
As far as options, both cars carry an equal number of options available to it as far as I can see. It just depends on what the final goals are the OP has and whether or not he wants to deal with possible paint issues. The blue one seems to be of stock height, a little weathered and yet....( IMO ) half *** painted? Sure it's stock looking and you can start from scratch, but the red and blue scheme is an eye-sore unless the OP likes that kinda thing. Then again, the question arises....why did the owner or previous owner ( if there was one ) do that? For crying out loud from the pics, it doesn't even look like the owner cared much for it. But one never knows.
The Red one comes with nice drop already done. So he may have to do an alignment if it is needed. Other than that, it also has aftermarket wheels of which the OP can sell for money towards another set, or powdercoat it to a color of his/ her liking. Besides....the owner actually took the time to clean it and take good pics of it. The OP has already talked to the owner and the owner chose to fix it? hmm...ok. A test drive might go to show if there are any problems indeed.
So in short, the blue one...stock? Will spend more money modding. The Red one...if possibly what the OP was gonna do anyway, so he's off to a good start. Its up to the OP.
*edit*...aiy.....I just read that he blue one has halo headlights....yuck.....
To the OP: ya know what? I would suggest waiting and to keep on looking if you're worried about the condition of the car and the looks. I myself chose to hunt down a completely stock LS when I was in the market for a car back in the day.....low and behold...patience paid off after a few weeks of intense searching

Do you guys think yes or no for the red one? Engine seems fine and everything else too. The quarter panel and the light were the only things that were really affected by the accident. Would it be possible that the wheel couldve been pushed in as well, though there werent any signs of damage on the wheel and coilover?
Is there anything i could look for under/around the quarter panel? Perhaps try pulling on it? Engine reliability is a must, but if the body isnt going to fall apart then it should be fine.

option #3: keep looking
if you made me choose, i would pick the blue one over the red but i would not pay a dime over 3500 for it. you can find better deals just keep looking. it took me 7 months to find a teg I liked and it was a fluke because i was in the market for an EG
anyway good luck, just be patient
when you find the right car you wont be on honda tech asking if i should buy this, you will just know

I'd go with something like this:

Have to agree, even though I am not a big fan of skylines after living in japan for 2 years. Buy the skyline and get rid of the hi-cas and shim the diff till you can afford to get a 1.5 way. Much faster out the box and the rb20 has soooo much more potential and room to grow.

in the end it all depends on what u r willing to put up with n deal with both of tegs have the same B18b so i dont c how the blue teg will have more performance unless by performance u mean pwr windows locks moon roof stuff like that. all that stuff is the ONLY diff. btwn the 2. n since the the RS doesnt have n e of that stuff it should be just a tad bit lighter. IMO i like the RS just the panels pull on it check 4 bondo a good job should not reveal n e thing. none 1 can make this decision 4 u if the RS is what u want go 4 it. n most of all enjoy ur Honda
