Default help on my hatch

CAN YOU DOUBLE CLUTCH A D15B8 1.5 WHEN AT A STOP AND 1ST 2ND GEAR OR I NEED A NEW CLUTCH

Sounds like a f&f to me, "granny shifting, and not double clutching like you should", lol. My $.02 from my tranny knowledge is, double clutching was actually meant for transmissions without syncros, you would double-clutch to match rpm to get a good engaugment of the gear. When syncros came in, i believe this eliminated the need to double-clutch, the dog teeth on the syncros help grab and hold the gear, so matching rpm's is not needed. Dont hold me 100% to all of that.

Nope, that's right.

I've driven a few cars with trannies like that. What a PITA.

You dont double clutch with a tranny with syncros. Only certain tranny needs to be double clutch inorder to select the proper gears. Thats what i heard, so I dont know.
