I like the looks of the Grillcraft-style mesh bumpers. I don't really feel like buying the whole thing from them, though. I know where I can get the material, but has anyone done this? I've seen it done custom (or ghetto, same thing) once. The guy cut out the plastic parts to create a hole, then zip-tied a grill in there. Looked good from far away, but kinda looked shitty up close. Anyone have any other ideas? Anyone done it? Please explain and post as many pics as you have.

 

yes i did it on my car all i did was cut the plastic bars out fiberglassed the 2 holes where the bar connected to the bumper and went over the fiber glass with a plastic bumper adhesive and then bent the mesh how i wanted it and put 3 pan head bolts on the top and 3 on the bottom it turned out awesome

I'd like to see pics – was going to order a type-r style grill this week. If I can hack apart my stock one, I can save some $$$.
