Default Grill Insert

How do I remove the black grill piece in the stock front bumper of a 1999 GSR? There aren't any screws that I can see... is it glued on there?

if you look at it closely... you'll notice it's part of the bumper...

Yes, it's part of the bumper. Many people cut it out for their intercoolers though. Here's a small pic of mine:

Jigsaw sounds right... just make sure you have an extra blade. No one likes half a project.

If you want a cleaner cut use an Exacto knife or razor blade. Dremel will work but it leaves a rough finish.

Jigsaw would be a bit bulky for such a little job. Use a sawzall.

lol, i don't think the airflow suction from the TB itself would be great enough to pull the air through all that and deliver it in a sufficient manner...

i always use a 4" air cutter for anything like this, cut it out in a few seconds, then run the flat of the disk over the cut to smooth it out, 5 minutes

Whether it looks like crap or not, I did it earlier today. The frame was a little dirty so I repainted it. I'll have pictures of it dried tomorrow night.

I didn't like the cheap plastic that was in there. It won't be long before I get a turbo though so I went ahead and did it know while I was thinking about it.
