Default Piston fried..need quick fix...can you run different CR in a cylinder

basically my buddy did something really stupid.. He put a huge shot of nitrous on his stock gsr bottom with his fully built gsr head.... the result is a friend piston after hours of spraying... I have pistons lying around that I don't mind giving him, but I don't have a gsr piston.. Can he use anotther b-series piston? I know that will mean his 3rd cylinder (one he needs to replace piston in) will have a different compression compared to the other cylinders but will that cause a problem.... I am strongly encouraging him to be patient and find another GSR piston but he's caught the speed bug and can't wait.

TIA

"do it right or do it twice"

how does the cylinder wall look? he probably has to disassemble the motor and have the block honed

yes there is going to be a whole lotta work to be done. Throwing in a piston with a different compression rating than the other 3 will mess with fuel and ignition. I dont think the car will run properly and he should either swap them all out or get another that same. But being that he fried a piston, the chances for damage to the other pistons are pretty good. Do you actually know he melted a piston, or are u guessing?

He's one of those people who never tells anyone what he's doing when it comes to upgrading his car.. Hence why I wasn't able to stop him from running such a high hit on his car (he still won't tell me how much).. but he claims he has the piston out of the motor and that the walls suffered no damage. Just the top of the piston melted some... I knew having a different CR would would not work (for long at least), but I just need an majority to stop him from doing it... Thanks guys... next quetsion now.. does anyone have a GSR piston they can sell me asap??

No offense, your buddy sounds like an idiot.

Let him cause his car go to hell, why do you want to help him do it sooner.

I'm sorry, but there is nothing worse than some ignorant kid who doesn't know WTF he is doing.
