crank shaft postion sensor gsr obd1 help help
i just did a motor swap on my 96 civic ex and i put a jdm obd1 gsr into it now im getting crank shaft postion code and my tac is going nuts now i had ome one wire the harnes onto the motor and he told me he did some kind of trick to bypass the crank shat postion sensor
dose the jdm obd1 motor have a crank shaft postion sensor and where is it and what wires go to it or any one know how to fix this

Sounds like you may have two problems.
1. The tach gets its signal from the ignitor module located inside the distributor - you may have something wired wrong there
2. The CKF sensor on an OBD2 car is located by the crank gear, behind the timing cover, while on the JDM engine it's in the distributor along side the CYP sensor - you will need to do that wiring trick you speak of, but it still may not fix your tach.
