newbie here. Found this is sight and WOW, what a great place!

I've got similar trans problem to some that have posted here - for no reason at all, sometimes the car will not start and the S light flashes. Very occasionally the S light will come on while driving and car is locked into 3 gear. When you stop and try to restart it won't fire and S light is flashing. Most times I only have to leave it for a few minutes and all will be well again.

I had the transmission reconditioned ($2000!!!) thinking that would fix it, but it hasn't. The previous owner must have had the same problem because there was a dealer receipt for $1000 for a new TCM. Could this new one have failed too? or could there be another problem?

I checked the codes and it came up with a 14, 8, and 7!

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
