Default Will this battery be enough juice?

Planning on getting a smaller-type battery. The car is a 99 hatch with a GSR engine. I'm pretty sure that the battery will be enough to start the engine. But I will also have a mild audio setup with 1 amp powering some speakers (no subs). Just want to make sure It will be good before I buy one.

Also, does anyone know if I would need the metal jacket one?

I HAVE NO IDEA if it will work or not, but most people on here use the 680 if that helps.

The metal jacket battery comes with a removal metal sleeve/case to go around the battery. You would only need this if the battery was going to be close to an exhaust manifold or something. I have seen them used as mounting soulations as well.

While the car is on the battery will be charging, the alternator will power the entire car as well as charge the battery. You just won't be able to power other accessories for extended periods of time with the car off.

A battery that small should really only be used on a race car.May I ask why you want a smaller battery?

As in...a way to mount it other than using the stock battery holder/bracket?? Or what do you mean?

The car is not a race car. I need a new battery and I'm trying to clean up my engine bay. I like the look of a smaller battery. What do you suggest rather than the 545?

I would stick with a factory sized battery. The smaller batteries do not last as long and are hardly a great weight savings. Even the more common PC680 will not last long. After it dies a few times it wont hold a charge.
