just in from the insurance adjuster at geico...
i figured i'd share..
the kid was doing 70 and fell asleep drunk at the wheel hitting my crx which was in the left turn lane while we were stopped at a light.
he received no tickets. his parents are police officers
he had a learners permit.
i'm working on a lawsuit.... think it will pan out?
however the only thing good that came out of this four months is the money to buy a new one :]
gimme a reason to drive to your state :]
i'm going to go die again...

Damn the curse of Y-49... I'm weary of re-painting my y-49 Si as I have heard covering the y-49 can evoke the curse. Sorry to see another one bite the dust. Price of mint yellow Si's is going up and up too, I saw a 91 y-49 with like 46k miles mint condition cali car go for $6,000 on Ebay about a year ago. If mine were a little cleaner I would have gone the resto route...

There are three things I would do.
1- sue for the wreck.
2- burn that white rex to the ground.
3- kick that skank off of the car,,,,
LOL....
Unless the said "skank" owns the car, then I really don't know how to comment
on the Y-49 curse when a woman is the driver....................

That sucks. I'd be filing a lawsuit with the police department, talking to internal affairs about investigating whoever arrived on the scene, and screwing up that idiot's life in addition to getting checked out by a doctor for a medical damages suit.

Are you serious, nothing happened to the kid just because his parents are police officers?! That is some BS! You can't even drive without an adult if you only have a learners permit and he was drunk?! I want to see the results of your lawsuit.

the kid should be put in juvy for at least 3 years on charges of drunk driving attempted murder , vehicular manslaughter, and he also should be held down and beat the $%^& up, along with his cop parents for not doing any thing.

ABSOLUTELY file a lawsuit, and get in touch with Internal Affairs, the Chief of Police, and the Mayor (if you can).
Also, absolutely go to a doctor for your whiplash (whether you have it or not).
That kid should have his license (permit, whatever) REVOKED until his at least 21. His parents should be buying you a new CRX (find that EBay auction that went for $6,000 and use it as argument that yours was worth just as much) with whatever bells and whistles you can think of.
