Default 94 civic ex coupe auto, o2 sensor simple ques.

ok i have a cel for o2 sensor. is it in safe mode and if so that means no vtec and shift at 6100 rpms right?

I don't know about your model, but my '00 Civic is not affected by a bad O2 sensor (as far as things like VTEC and redline go).

94 EX only has one O2. If the CEL is on for it, you're in safe mode. (runs rich, retarded ign settings)

96+ cars act the same way for the primary O2, but not the secondary O2.

well i replace the o2 and no more codes, it still shifts at 6100 is this normal for an auto?
