Spring rates for skunk works coilovers
I have a set of old skunk works coil overs in my eg right now and I am trying to figure out the rates of the springs.
There are 2 different part numbers between the 4 springs....
0700.2.50.010
0700.2.50.008
Does this mean the first one is .010 rate and the second is .008? What shocks would go well with these springs? I have blown stock shocks right now and I am in the market for some new ones.

You could try the Skunk2 Sport shocks, or perhaps some Tokico Illuminas.</TD></TR></TABLE>
thanks I will probably go with the skunk2 sports

the sk2 shocks are not a bad pick up but i'd rather go with the illluminas. i've experienced the sk2 shocks with 8k/6k spring rate and they handled pretty well. Thing was the car was running a 22 rear sway.

if your really on a tight budget i'd def. suggest the sk2 shocks over any stock replacment shock.

If you have the money get a set of Koni yellows... Hands down worth the money and carry a lifetime warrenty as well. I think the skunk2 sport shocks are valved to go with there springs not coilovers. Tokico Illuminas are the next best thing with those coilovers as they worked great in our car for a few years before going bad.

Skunk2 coilover sleeves should not be used with Koni dampers. They do not have a groove machined into the bottom to capture the Koni snap ring properly, and using them in conjunction with the conventional spring perches provided by Koni is a no-no.

Im running Skunk2 Sport Shocks and Skunk2 Sleeve coilovers and its a pretty good ride for a DD , and this is on my EG hatch as well ... I have stock GSR sway bar up front and a MFactory bar in the rear , and I live how it handles , not to mention my hatch is pretty low... But I think you'll like the ride with the Skunk2 Sport Shocks...

Ah so true... I was not thinking for a second.

It also says right on skunk2 site that they the shocks are meant for either springs or coilovers.
