Default Egr Nonsense

I recently got the insufficeint flow check engine code...since me car has 115000 miles i was just wondering if i should go ahead and clean out the ports ( seem to be problematic on these engines) or just take out the valve and clean/check it

Well, it is much easier to take the valve out first and clean it. Then reset the ecu and see if the code comes back. If so, do the full cleaning, if not, you saved yourself a huge headache.

Plus 1. Most likely you are going to have to remove the whole manifold.

I suggest doing it all right now, cause you might run into this problem in another 10kmiles where you do have to remove the whole IM.

Half a days work, for another 100k miles Piece of mind
