Where is the egr valve located?
can i clean it? I already cleaned the egr ports and fuel injectors, where is the valve located? and how can i clean it?

I've also used carb cleaner in addition to a brush/scraper.
did it to the egr valve on my girls Jimmy 1.5yrs ago when it generated a code, hasn't been a problem since :knocks on wood:

I remove the valve, apply power to it to see if the pintle is moving up and down. If the pintle moves as it should, then grab a coat hanger and work it through the EGR ports on the manifold. Afterwards, I'll start the car and let it run for about 10 seconds to blow the ports clear, then reinstall EGR Valve.

do you have a check engine light on for an egr code p0401 or p1491? if it a p0401 its a flow code and needs that egr ports cleaned. if its a p1491 its a lift code usually needs a valve
