Default password carbon airbag tray fitment issues......

i just ordered this from a fellow h-t member. still in shrink wrap and everything from password jdm. my question is.... could this be a bad mold possibly? or are mostly all of these like this and you have to make them fit the best way possible? beautiful piece.....just wish it fit better

Its to be expected with any carbon fiber piece. Ditch it and get the OEM one

It looks okay, typical aftermarket fitment. Cant really expect it to fit like OEM.

too much red in your interior, and you have a naked man on your console.

Ah, it's not too bad. Carbon fiber accessories like this is a give and take. You give up the oem fitment but you get the carbon fiber stuff. If it were me, I'd see if I can get it to fit better using some double stick tape for something. But I wouldnt sweat it - still looks good and overall fitment looks good.

I wonder if you put a towel over it then place a brick in the tray over night and see if that weight pushes it down enough to make it fit better.
If it looks to go down a bit...keep trying it every night until it's finally fit.

Install an OEM airbag so a passenger doesn't die in a serious frontal collision

thats what i was looking for someone who had one. im gonna keep it though and throw some sticky tape to hold it in place. thought about drilling some small holes and mounting it but yeah im just not crazy about that.

i just dont like airbags. my old girlfriend's malfunctioned once and popped her in the face. another time i had a head on collision in my ej and the things never came out. so to each their own ya know? i always wear seatbelts.

It's never a good idea to just remove part of the SRS system, if you're still relying on stock seatbelts. Now if you had racing buckets, harness bar, and 5-point harnesses, it would be a different story.

Looks alright for now, but for me..it'd bug me through time l0l.

I'd try getting that thing to fit as good as possible. Add some weight to it or something :\
