89 CRX Si Timing Belt Swap??

Default 89 CRX Si Timing Belt Swap??

I Have A 1989 CRX Si With A Stock SOHC D16A I Just Changed The Timing Belt An Water Pump I Lined The Cam Pulley Up An The Bottom Pulley With The Timing Cover But When I Try To Take Off Out Of First It Lags The Rpm's Drop And It Takes A Second For It To Get Up An It Just Feels Like There Is A Lack Of Power Threw All The Gears Is This A Belt Adjustment Or Something Else Because I Never Had This Problem Before?? Any Info Would Be Appreciated Thanx

yup, u are prob a tooth off. try moving a tooth one way, if that doesnt work, 2 teeth the other. i didnt even line anything up when i did mine, i just made sure not to rotate anything and to keep the belt tight on the left side. (side without tensioner) not that i did it the right way, i easily could have lined it up, but i knew it wasnt a big deal so...

True, that could be the problem...also it can just be your spark plug wires. I had the same problem right after my timing was done but couldnt figure it out, then i checked and re-checked everything it might have been..came to the spark plug wires and one of them was loose and had ripped..the booth piece that covers the spark plug itself had torn...so i replaced all four of them and ran smooth after that....just something it might be thats all.
