Not only that, aftermarket parts for it as well.

You would be hard pressed to find a more refined car than a BMW. It is "The Ultimate Driving Machine." Magazines rate them at the top year after year after generation. It is the car that others strive to be. Very few people that own a BMW go back to anything else. I would go bimmer.
Yeah, I wouldn't mind owning a BMW up until about 80 or 90 thousand miles. Then the fact that it is german takes over and thinks start breaking that cost a lot of money. I work at a auto parts store. These people talk to me. Sorry, but I don't wanna pay 450 bucks for a new starter, etc.

rsx is cheaper to own if you can afford furture break downs go with the BMW, if you dont want to deal with that hassel of finding parts and high priced mechanics then get the RSX its a car that will last longer if you do its routine maintance.
The smart choice is RSX
your preference ?

i vote type s, theres too many bimmers running around and 540i? i'd rather go m3, a 1998 would probably be around that range.
I just traded in my ep3 for a type s today, i'm lovin it. i'll have some pics tomarrow

Voted bmw aswell.

I owned a bmw for 5 years and got it up to 100,000 miles. Roughly around 50-60k miles problems began to happen frequently. Not only do BMW's start having problems around that time the cost to fix them is ungodly. Simple fixes that would cost $200 on a honda as opposed to spending well over $1000 on a BMW. You can say my opinion is bias but I used to own a bmw and now have a rsx and would never go back to a euro car..

It just about is.
It just about is.
what do you want to do with the a car, thats the real question.. you wanna look like you have alot of money or have fun? the answer is obvious
I vote BMW.
From having honda and BMW, still own Both.
Its just 2 different worlds all together.
And just like we do with honda's, you can learn to maintain/troubleshoot a BMW just as well as you can with a Honda.
YES parts are more expensive then honda. But generally I've learned its really LABOUR costs the bring BMW repair costs up alot!
From my research atleast in my area, unless you are keen on having your car maintained at BMW only....... taking the car to a BMW performance shop for general maintainance is not all that bad cost wise compared to the dealer. some cases 50% less.
Saving money with a bmw is also all in who you know as well.
I've seen ppl have nothing but problems, and others have nothing but joy!

man BMW ALL THE WAYYYYYYYYYYYY
you can't even compare the 2.
I can't believe this thread was started... sorry man I just think they're uncomparable.
BMW are very advanced in every way. They make amazing engines and cars in general. 1/4 is not everything. Just driving a 5 series is much better than driving an rsx. amazing seating position and feel.
Honestly, if you can afford it, go for the 5 series.

BMW's in the US are expensive to maintain as opposed to an Acura/Honda but i do agree with you, you can't compare the two. They both are engineered differently. I'm not to impressed by BMW's tho and i used to live in Germany where BMW's are like honda's here in the U.S. If any BMW i'd own it would be an M3 supercharged. Other then that stick to the rsx especially since it has lower mileage.
