the best way is to just go around the forum and look at cars, and see what you like. No one can tell you what looks good and bad, its more of a personal thing. Its your car dress it how you want it to look.

just stay away from the euro crap. number one way to get bashed on h-t

get some decent rims, rotas are a cheap, but good way to go, plus they have different styles for different taste.

lower your car on some decent suspenion. remember, you get what you pay for. i would go with something in the price range of maybe 400 - 1000 on it. get some decent shocks, like koni's and look into different springs, or coilovers.

Come on man... We don't need another thread twisted into yet another rota-hater vs. rota-buyer thread.

To the OP,
Go to the guide to basic accords and start there. It's all personal taste.

Pick up a nice headunit and some replacement speakers from http://www.crutchfield.com .

If it's an LX, you may consider keyless entry from http://www.handa-accessories.com (about $160 if I remember right).

Some cheap mods beyond that would be to go to a carpet store and pick up a strip of **** carpet for your dash. You'll also need a plastic Jesus doll for the dash and some fuzzy dice for your rearview mirror.
