Does any one know the gear ratios of 88-91 crx's and hatch's
Like the title says...I need to know the gear ratios of 88-91 crx's and hatch's...I am building a circle track race car and need to know which tranny has the longest second gear. Thank you.
Ya that didn't help much....but if you find a thread with that topic and those answers....please put it in here.... Thanks tho
I don't know why the search feature only works for me and nobody else.

I Will!!! lol I won the 2007 Track Championship (my car number is 07, the year 07, and won it by 7 points)---how lucky is that.... but I am building one for my friend (b/c they said my car is to fast, and I have to move up a class...) The track actually added a new rule (the CJ rule as they call it) and they add 100lbs to every honda (b/c I would walk away with each and every win).
But thanks for the info...The reason why I needed to know the gear ratios is b/c I only run in second gear (1/4 mile oval w/ 36 degree banking).

I do, I just will have to find them all...I have a myspace that has a few of my car that I won the championship in... but I'm off to bed got to work open to close tomorrow http://www.myspace.com/racingismylife07
that's pretty badass. do you have a link to a rulebook or something? looks like some fun, low budget racing.
do you guys have any payouts for winning?

No I don't have a rulebook... It's pretty fun, All I did to the car was a JDM zc, with the dx trans. p185/70/r14 and the car got to about 75mph in second gear....worked out real well.
The car (300)---(insurance auction-smashed in the front)
used hood off of my 92 four door (free)
new certifit front bumper ($35)
Jdm zc (450 shipped)
Used Clutch slave cylinder from a local junk yard (15)
Dx trans from the car smashed hatch (free)
Same tires that came with the car (free)
4-point roll cage with me welding it in (250)
Racing harness, Racing Seat, Firesuit, Helmet (300)
Total cost of build $1350

I got $800 from the sponsor on the hood, $250 from my grandpa on the front fenders, and $500 from the one on the rear 1/4

That paid for the car right there!
Awesome little hobby. I gotta find a semi-local place that does these. Are there any restrictions on motor, suspension, tires, or weight?

Ya, everything has to be stock...but bending the rules...not breaking them is fine in my book
....they have know clue what a zc motor was until some kid told them...so what i did was told them I was going to pull it....and I took off the engine code...and replaced it with d15b7...and they fell for it

just removed weight, right? what about intake, header, exhaust? would someone be allowed to put like azenis on stock steelies, if say... the tires were the same size as the factory tires? any chance of putting engine internals into the motor? i mean, its obvious that you're changing the trans.

Well at the track that I ran at...they wanted everything to be stock....w/o performance tires, no aftermarket parts, no bodykits....almost basic entry level racing..... depending on the track, they allow you to upgrade fuel pumps, clean the head, port and polish, sand blast the Intake manifold....some even allow you to re-do the internals....but that all depends on the track you race at....
what they dont know.... wont hurt em. hehe
i'd upgrade the suspension, swaybars, etc. and just have them powdercoated black and drag them through the mud before installation. it looks stock.

That is exactly how you get-r-done...as Larry the cable guy would say....lol... No Replacement for Displacement!!!!!!
