My cars due to come out the bodyshop soon and its going to be sitting on my drive for a while whilst i finish the build. Its kept outside so i wanted to get a cover for it to keep the elements off the paint.
I dont want to pay alot but am scared that if i get a cheapo one it will scratch the paint.
Reckon this would be any good?

Its says Soft; "Abrasion-Resistant Material" but im always a bit carefull trusting ebay stuff.
Anyone have any input?

I wish i had the flow to pick one of those up.
Anyway, I bought an average car cover from the local Autozone, and I've had it on my car for a few weeks now, no problems with scratches. Just look open the bish up and feel how soft it is and if you think it will scratch your paint.

This happened to one of our customers.
The guy just got the whole car repainted and left it covered with a cheap cover from Autozone for winter and went out of town til spring. By the time he came back and pulled the cover, the car was scratched up real bad. The wind was blowing and scratched the whole car.
He had to shell out extra cash to get it fixed (the scratches were deeper than you average everyday ding).
Unless you have a garage, get a quality cover. It's worth it.
Especially if you're car's fresh out the booth.
Check hondapartsdeals.com for OEM stuff.
Use coupon code:hondatech-10 at checkout for $10 off your total.
Good luck

That was exactly my worry, the wind blowing it would cause scratches. Il take your word for it and get an OEM one. Just out of interest what makes the OEM ones so much better?
thanks for the info
thanks for the info
oem covers are made so they wont scratch the paint, but some of them arent waterproof (a friends crx one isnt). if i had the $ i would get something similar to this.

I have no experience with OEM covers and never recommended it but I'm sure they're safer bet than anything off ebay. My painter was talking about this really nice cover(I can't remember the name) today that was on the expensive side. I can find out but, it won't be until tomorrow.

That would be great, id rather invest in a good car cover than having to invest in another spray

Not made to be used in a rainstorm or rain atall?
This kinda sucks then, OEM ones not looking such a good option for me.

It doesn't matter what kind of car cover you have, they will scratch the paint. Dirt and dust gets trapped between the paint and the cover and will scratch the living hell out of the car. Unless you're able to clean the cover and the car on a REGULAR basis, I would never use a car cover.

I will only really be using the cover while the cars being built on my drive, so it wont be driving anywhere and will be covered for more time than its not.
I would say go to auto zone and check out there car covers see what size yours would fit I have a size 5 for mine with the body kit and every thing I have used it for 2 years now and not a scratch or nothing not even dust. so I would say go to your locol auto parts store and here is where you don't want to go cheap spend a little money like they said you get what you pay for
in the world of car cover, you get what you pay for.
my first one is budge or what ever the blue crap was in autozone. the white liner inside breaks up in two month, leaving sh-t load of ash and the next thing you know you can rip it open with a finger's force.
most of the oem cover are dust cover, it's not meant to go outside to protect your car from outdoor element, make sure you read what you are getting.
