Default got my z10's opn , fitment questions

im assuming all yours did the same thing and rubbed the oil pan , i didnt know what else to do other than bang in the corner of the pan to allow free travel of the radius arm ?
you guys did the saem thing or what:?
it pisses me off, but it did do its job and looks pretty nice . other than that it was an easy install and i did t my motor mount inserts along with my coilovers too , so it feels like a totally diff car.

I'll bet you bolted it to the wrong place on the LCA.

You shouldn't have had to touch the oil pan, and the way you make it sound, you already did.

See the thread above for how-to install pictures.

Does not tough mine either. The radial arms bolt to where the shock/fork bolts to the lca. Not the bolt that holds the 2 parts of the lca together (found that out the hard way )

Craig - Who still needs to adjust them bitches

follow that link for install. its no where near the oil pan.

adjustment.....

lift the whole front of the car up in the air with both wheels off the ground.

adjust the end links until you can still just turn the rods by hand. not easily...just a nice pressure resistance. tighten. Now when you lower the car you get slight preload. once i did this...it hooked really nicely and i haven't touched them since.

good luck

Mine never touched the oil pan. It sits nowhere near it. the rods go from the bar in the front to the lower shock mounts. Angles out towards the sides of the car a lot.

scuffed up oil pan=no big deal as long as its not leaking or you can still get the oil plug off. dented oil pan with hammer to make room for the improperly mounted z10 arm? big deal. I'm trying to recall how far it is to the oil pickup? nah..maybe thats sledgehammer big. give that a whirl

its not near the oil pick up , its fine , and the oil pan plug is on the other side of it , i had to bang in the front driver corner .
if it turns to a big deal and affects the drivability , ill get a new one . im not concerned .Im just pissed cuz my friend that was helping me was bitching about me reading the instructions and i told him how they go and he got pissed like i didnt trust hios work and it was such simple work , now he said its my fault when i told him where he fucked up . . . he said its my fault cuz i didnt read the instructions . what a dumb *** . he cant admit when he's wrong . . . also it was his idea to bang in the oil pan , unless i had any other ideas. . . i said to look at it closer and try another way , he didnt want to hear that and started bangin .

Besides, its always a good idea to pop open your new toy for the car and make sure you have the proper tools necessary to complete the install.

Besides reducing wheelhop, do they improve handling at all?

I'm pretty sure Dropspeed said they helped out noticably on the track.

I wish I could give a could opinion on that matter, but unfortunately, I had too many new components to my setup at once on the track, and I'm unable to tell/feel exactly what does what.

i havent really tested them out too much yet . i dont feel really anything in the turns though.
and i do trust the person helping me . he has helped me with everythong on all my cars. but he assumed it was straight forward and i was looking at the instructions while working on something else and he got pissed saying what you dont trust me , blah , blah , blah. . .. again its no big deal , its an oil pan and again i have had worse from scraping on the street . if i need a new one eventually ill get one . but there is no probs with this .
and yes i did have all the tools to do the job? where did that comment come from?

Hey bro.. it wasn't meant as a smartass comment. Too many times in the past I've started workin on something, and was missing a tool to get somethin off, thats all. Just said its a good idea to read the directions before you start sometime, incase you need some odd tool that you didn't / don't have.
