* * *To ALL H2B Owners!!! What do you guys use to tune your swap?* * *
Ok. My question, is MAINLY just to H2B Owners, as I want THEIR input on this. I'm thinking about doing a H2B swap for my civic. (Hurray!) I can get the whole swap (motor, b16 tranny, h2b kit, mounts, etc) for $2700. Like that topic says, what ECU/Piggyback system are you guys using? I'm thinking about getting the Apexi V-tec Controller for now and later upgrade to a S200. But I was wondering, my EX has a P28 already, who or how can I get it chipped? How much is it for a "chipped" P28? If I get a chipped p28, then do I still need the Apexi controller? Also, is the EG H2B kit usable on a EK model? Thank you for any information, much appreciated!

definetely just keep your ecu and have it tuned on one of the many programs out there (hondata, crome, ecutune, etc.). No need at all to buy a POS vtec controller. For the money you are going to spend on it, even used, you can have your ecu chipped and at least street tuned on crome. Far better results.
Also, having a b tranny, as opposed to an H tranny, tuning wise makes no difference at all. your tuning the engines fuel curve and timing, nothing to do with the transmission.

I used a p28 , and tuned with ECtune. You can really use any management system you would like.
Check out phearable.net - you can purchase a p28 - chipped already with an H basemap and you will be set.
No real need for the vtec controller if you do the above.

Thanks for your input. ecutune? Never heard of that one yet. Maybe have to do some research on that. If you guys recommend those over the Apexi controller, than maybe I'll reconsider it. If i was to choose, Hondata wins my vote. As for the type, how about the S100? Or should I spend a hundred dollars more for the S200?

I'm asking this to H2B owners because I want their input, as what they're using to tune their swap. Correct me if I'm wrong, a b-series tranny can handle a higher rev rpm vs the h-series tranny. So with that in mind, tuning depending on the tranny, is something to look at also.
