ES: Master Kits....You have it?
Just wonderng who has the ES master kits? and are they worth it?
I have the motor mount inserts.(well, 2 outa 3 installed, lol) and just put in the shifter bushings yesterday. I am very pleased with the results. So I was thinkin about the master kit. Any major downsides?

After 3 months or so...you'll hear this: *squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak*
Friend's car with just the endlink bushings. You'll have to take them off and re-lube them every few months.
Handling-wise, they are EXCELLENT...you won't be disappointed.

Does he have the new Hyperflex ones? I heard they dont squeak. Also..the Black ones have Graphite in the material. So they are spose to eliminate squeaking too
Yes, he has the Energy Suspension Hyperflex Master Bushing set in black, but hasn't even touched the rest of the set since it's a PITA to install. Red or black, the color makes absolutely no difference whatsoever. New Hyper-Flex? Hyper-Flex has been around for years. They're made of polyurethane.
Squeaks are inevitable with the ES kits.

I have the ES master kit in my car and love it. You don't feel too much a of a difference until you really start to throw the car around. As far as noise is concerned I just get under the car about every 2 or 3 months and shoot some greasless lube on all the bushings and no noise at all. But the kit is a crazy **** to install, unless you have a press adn alot of patience I wouldnt' try it.
Oh yea and also, the master kit comes with alot of crap you don't need, I just went to ES and told them give me everythign that is functional and helps handling...

haha that's the way it's done.
I guess you could try to wrap the pieces in teflon tape before installing them but if you need a press then it would probably just scrape off.

not a bad idea. How about if you put litium grease on before you installed them...would that help any? is it hard to grease later?
Also the colors do make a difference. Check out suspension.com

Heh...interesting reading. But in the end, black ES bushings will squeek (based on what I've seen from a car with black ES bushings). Also, the site says:
It doesn't say eliminate, but that would be really nice if it did. It's just the price you pay for harder bushings.
The kit comes with its own grease that you apply before you install the bushings.
Squeeks are secondary to what the ES bushings have to offer for your handling. I recommend doing what GSRoadRage did by just getting what you need...suspension bushings.
...designed to decrease the possibility of squeaks even further.
