quick help doing axle now, driver side inner cv cant get it out

Default quick help doing axle now, driver side inner cv cant get it out

im doing my drivers side axle now, cant seem to figure out how to get the inner axle out.

I currently have the shock fork off, shock is dangling, hub is dangling, outer cv is just sittin there waiting on the inner transmission cv area/spline? to come out but i cant get it.

anyone have any ideas? Im posting a picture in a minute or 2

Hit it with a big hammer, mine usually separates pretty easy.

Unbolt the intermediate and pull it out as an assembly. Then separate the two out of the car.

You need a new oil pan gasket

yup you were right, i went down and did that and it came out after a few hits, i positioned a crobar in there and wailed on it and it slowly came out without much effort.

The rest was a breeze reassembling and the notorious "tick" was gone. On one side of the car anyway.

hey i'm gettin ready to change my passenger side axle because it's clicking real bad, i've never changed one and was wanderin where i could find good step by step instructions, or if it's really easy??

there isnt a good writeup anywhere really. It isnt really hard though its just more following the steps in order so you can get the axle out. I found one on a guy replacing his CV boots but it requred him to take off the whole axle. I cant find it ill PM you if i do.
