Default DC2 Backyard Special + ARC Magic Splitter = No Go. Time to cut?

Looks like I'm keeping them! Thanks to ANONYMOUSdeecee & RARE EG2 for posting those pics - that's all I needed

So I thought I'd be Mr. Cool Guy and install a set of ARC splitters on my DC2 Backyard Special bumper. Seems like a awsome combo, right? Nope, I was wrong.

I received my brand new ARC splitters and I did a quick test fit on the BYS bumper. Turns out the splitters are too long and dont look right, which is a bummer.

So I have two options: either cut up the ARC splitters to make them fit correctly on the BYS bumper (cutting up a brand new ARC product = ) or just sell them off.

Just a quick poll to see what the consenus is. Right now, I'm leaning towards cutting them up but I'm a little hesitant on the idea. Input?

If you think they will look good on the car why would it matter of you cut the brand new product?

Will anyone be able to see where u cut it at?

Mainly, because it would be hard to resell. And it feels wrong hacking up a brand new part. If I do actually cut them and ever decide to slang them, I might actually have to sell to whatcivic for $50.00.

Yes, you would be able to see the cut and notice that it is significantly shorter.

If thats the case then its prolly not worth cutting it. Just sell it!

IMO, i wouldnt do it. i think the backyard is perfect as is w/o the splitters.

if your going for "looks" purposes, then do it.

Mount the splitters to your trunk, in place of a wing. That would be hot.

i cut mine up, i had already bought em and they were to big, no point in reselling it really. might as well go with and be one of the few that have it since u have to modify it.

but then again mine were not so expensive bimmer ones.

just take ur time in doing it.

I cant wait for this "ARC Splitter" trend to go out of style.

Why is that stupid, because you said so.....

He can sell them for it worth right now, rather than holding on to them and selling them for less.
