I got off the phone with someone I know that works at a Mitsu dealership. In the past he told me he knew a guy that was really talented with Hondas. The guy used to work at an Acura dealership in New Britain. He now has a shop with someone, but is going to be moving it elsewhere in CT i guess.

Just wondering if anyone knows the guy ("Mario") and can say anything positive/negative about his work... I am thinking of having him do my K-Pro tune when I get it shortly down the road. I want someone who knows what they're doing to tune my car.

Mario owns a shop called Total Autosport in New Britin.

Yes he knows his stuff too.

He has offered a few times to work with me on my race car, specifically, the motor work. I have declined his offer though. lol

He has done a lot of work for a buddy of mine too. Darren is his name (bigdgsr here on HT)

As far as a tuner I don't like what I hear.... he is good with Mitsu stuff, but when it comes to Honda's I don't know.... tuning K-Pro is not at all like tuning an OBD-1 style ECU....

 

Yes I know him very well. Just like Tepid said he has built my car from the ground up. He is excellent guy and he knows what he is doing. Him and his business partner had parting ways and he is working by himself now at a new location. You can give him a call at 203-668-4432. Tell him Darin sent you.
