Where have all the Type R's gone in Speed World Challenge...
Just checked the qualifying results for the Speed WC Touring at Mid Ohio this weekend and there are only 2 Type R's qualified in the top 30 cars!! And the top Type R (Kleinubing) is back in 9th. Wow!

so, he apparently either qualified with his outlap or on the lap the car was black flagged.

Don't most of the Type Rs have to carry ballast to slow them down??? I mean if a Protege 5 (Foo) can beat them......there is something fishy going on.
Is the Speed Channel still going to show the Touring Cup cars from last year?? I saw in SCC that Roger Foo is out of the Civic and into a Mazda Protege 5.

he tore some *** last year at laguna with that little crapback!
remember
its 90% driver
If Honda had brains they would have offered more support to guys like Foo, but instead they screwed up and let Foo jump ship to Mazda who actually WANTED him there.
I was at Mid-Ohio this weekend... watching the 65 car (!!!) Touring start from pit lane was unbelievable! It was a great race.

I think the ITR has gotten restricted into obselence (sp?). The only team that has the ITR developed well enough to win is Realtime. Notice how there are regularly 10+ 325's out each race because they don't have to spend the whole off-season developing the car the way Realtime has to.

Realtime is gonna go with 2 RSX's by mid-season and by the end of the season all 4 cars will be RSX's. It will be interesting to see if the RSX's can be as competitive as the ITR's were. I'm sure the RSX's will definitely be slower at first, it will be interesting to find out what kind of mods they are doing regarding camshafts and the tinkering with the i-vtec. I'm sure Cunningham had some problems in qualifying or they had to make a change and he got put in 47th, I'd be surprised if he qualified there. Maybe he had to limp the car around the track because of some mechanical problems. Looks like they fixed it because he finished 13th, not bad after starting 47th. I'm glad to see Taz Harvey finished 3rd, too bad he couldn't pull out the win at limerock. He was leading for a while. At least he beat all the RTR guys. I think Kleinubing is a dirty driver. Just my opinion, he does have talent I'll give him that but I think he's dirty nonetheless. I hope Taz can get a win this season, seems like he's plenty competitive.
Just my .02!

Just got back from Mid-Ohio today....

End reporting...I'm really tired, 1000miles of driving in 36 hours with 4 hours of sleep (in the car). I shouldn't stay for the Le Man...I almost went deaf!

HART is doing quite well with their RSXs in Grand-Am Cup racing:
The number 00 car was in the top 5 at Watkins Glen until suspension problems brought him in and put him down a few laps, and the number 69 ended up 10th. It would be nice to see some RSXs make their way into the Speed WC though!

DO NOT put the outcome of the races in posts please... Please type WARNING in the top or something, it ruins it for us who want to watch the race when it is aired..
it's a shame OPM is using a Mazda, instead of a V-Dub or Honda...... i wouldn't mind seeing a new Civic Si even...
Yes, it was disappointing to watch the ITR's yesterday, or should I say lack of them at Mid-Ohio. I won't tell you the results, but don't expect Kleinubing to make up for starting 9th or whatever he started. Cunningham did well, but starting 47th didn't help his cause and he definitely didn't have enough car to win.
If you noticed, there were lots of Mazda's up front (at least in qualifying). The Protege's appear to be well sorted. I was quite shocked to see they were faster than the ITR's. Also, the Audi 1.8T was on the pole. WTF? When did that car get fast?
Interesting race, lots and lots of cars. 53 car field, the largest in WC history. Lots of action, I really enjoyed it, but could have been better with an ITR victory!

Mazda is the best. I will never buy another Honda or Acura again.
I like my civic but I don't like the company itself.
Just isn't worth it to drive there cars. Mazda on the other hand is bending over backwards for me and it's great. I haven't even raced the car yet and they are dam near giving me parts to finsih my car. So screw honda. I hope they get bitch slapped and mazda runs away with all the trophies.
Roger Foo made the best choice when he junked the civic. He got nothing for driving it and brought so much attention to honda and they could have cared less.
OK I'm done.
