I'm trying to fix my buddy's 97 AT prelude which has no spark right now. I used a dizzy and coil off my cousin's prelude to see if that was the problem, but the car still doesn't start. What else could cause a no spark? This happened last weekend during storm. I am getting fuel. The main relay is good and timing belt is also good. Can it be the ecu?

do you have a check engine light?

what ALL have you tested? fuses good?

 

fuses are good... fuel pump primes... no MIL. the car doesn't crank sometimes because there is a blinking key on the cluster. i have to arm and disarm until that blinking key turns off. i think it is a factory alarm can the alarm over ride the car starting, cutting of the fuel or spark??

 

found out that my buddy used the red key to try to start his car. previous owner didnt tell him not to use it. is there anyway to start the car without towing it to dealer?? any ecus w/o immobilzer
