D series fitment question.
hey guys. im new to the site but far from new to tuning hondas. i did most of my poking around on Bseries motors. i recently bought an 88 dx hatch off a buddy of mine and i was wondering what would be needed to do a D16 non-vtec swap to the car and ditch my D15. will the present fuel and electrical system work or will i need to change these?
plus if anyone in the western pa area is interested in a B18B1 or any parts from a DC2 let me kno. i have too many integra parts.

please search next time. you need a pm6 ecu and mpfi dizzy and you need to change the wires around. http://hondacrx881.tripod.com/mpfiswap.html here is a good writup on the swap for the multi port
you could use the dpfi manifold in which case you wouldn;t really have to change much of anything but that multiport fi is what gives you a majority of the added hp with the d16
also you should check this out https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/2086185

There is no point in that. You'd be better off to to a multi-point fuel injection conversion on the D15 than you would be running a D16A with the dual-point injection.
The multi-point fuel injection is key to making power or doing any swaps. You will need to convert your engine wiring harness and pick up an MPFI manifold, distributor, ECU, and injectors. If you do have a source for a D16A6 or SOHC ZC, then it should come with some or all of these components.
Do a search on DPFI to MPFI conversions in the FAQ and archives - there is a lot of information that has been covered on these.
