vtec problem in OBD2 B16
i have an OBD2 wire harness with a B16a motor, and last month some old bag smashed my poor little ek
and since she hit my car my vtec stopped working
. but i noticed my knock sensor is broken. would a broken knock sensor affect my vtec? and sometimes instead of redlining at the regular 8,200rpm. it bounces at 6,500rpm. i put in a new ECU, but that didnt solve anything. can someone help with some advice. about if the broken knock sensor is the problem.

if the ecu doesn't know whats going on it wont engage vtec. if the kock sensor if broken vtec will not engage. i also have a jdm b16 on my DA and the speedo cable broke and vtec was done. it was because the ecu didnt know how fast the car was going. so i think if you get the sensor fixed or replaced that will fix it, good luck
