What year is your LS? You most likely just need to swap the green film over from your LS cluster.

Yes, just swap the green film from your LS cluster onto the ITR cluster, and all should be well.

So are you using the LS green film, or the ITR?

I'm no electronics whiz, but I'd assume if you compared the two, there would be differences. If there are, then those differences could account for why your gas gauge is not working correctly.

*edit* I just read the whole thread, it doesn't say "not to do it" in terms of swapping out the green film. It said he was showing you how to swap the gauges out instead of doing the green film.

I never said to use the ITR film. My link shows you how to swap over the gauges, NOT to swap films.

Swapping film method doesn't really work well with 94-97 to 98-01 conversions since the ABS wire is in a totally different location.

You must use your LS film and housing with ITR gauges.

I followed BlueIntegraBoy's instructions exactly the way he explains it and all of my lights/gauges function correctly. All of the dummy plates need to be swapped around so that the check engine light, low fuel, etc light up in the proper area. You can't go wrong with hid DIY thread for swapping the gauges into the LS housing.
