whats up guys i have a quick question about the rc injectors for h22a4. i looked through all of the 18 threads in the search function but did not find my answer. question is are there any modification needed for the injectors to work or is it plug and play??

 

Going by your name, I am assuming you have a 5th gen, and for a 5th gen you need to have the injector clips for any non OEM injectors.

 

Make sure you get the peak and hold injectors not the saturated injectors.

I believe you have that mixed up.

 

To be honest I don't know. You may be right. I know have 550cc saturated injectors on my h22a1.

Well I have Precision 1000cc P and H injectors and I have to run a resistor box. Go with saturated injectors.

 

would the saturated ones be fine with a boost application? or would i need to get the p and h?

 

Both are fine for boost. Without getting to technical on the difference... which injectors you go with will come down to your fuel requirements. I think the biggest saturated injector RC makes is a 750.
When you install P&H injectors on your car, you will have to install a resistor box, which effectivly turns them into saturated injectors.

Are you boosting your car? The size of injectors you should run will depend on your power goal.

 

yea im researching the project how much it would cost and what i would need. the power goal wouldnt be anything crazy 300-350whp somewhere around there

 

you will need saturated injectors for obdII

 

Also, i forgot to answer your question regarding the clips. No, they don't come with the injectors, unless it actually states it is including them. The clips are about $10 a piece at most places. Obviously, you will need 4 of them.

 

just a stpuid question, but would h22a1 or h22a4 fuel rail fit on a 92-96 h22a

 

I know an h22a1 rail will fit no problem, but i can not say for sure if a H22A4. The H22a1, and H22a4 fuel rails are different part numbers.
I think the a4 rail will work with a custom fuel line. I am pretty sure the difference between the two is that on the a1 fuel rail the bleed screw, and the fuel line are on opposite side, but on the a4 rail, the bleed screw and fuel line are on the same side.

Just to correct what i was saying, for the h22a4 rail to work, you would need the fuel line that runs from fuel filter to fuel rail from a h22a4 engine. As it is longer, and attaches on the far end of the rail. Where as the one for the H22a1 is shorter and connect to the closer side of the rail.

 

im gonna be runniung a obd1 P28 or P72 tuned on Neptune, my question is do i need a resistor box when running obd1??

it makes no diff what obd you run.

saturated injectors are high impedance and do not use a resistor they aer already 12 ohnms.

peak andhold injectors are low resistance and have 2 ohms and need the 10ohm resistor.

 

RC makes injector clips that are plug and play with your factory engine harness

the flow rate at 45 psi is either 345cc for 92-96 h22a, or 290 for 97-01 h22a....but neither runs at 45 psi, the 92-96 run at ~36 psi while the 97-01 run at ~54 psi....at those pressure they flow 310-320cc. as far as making a difference, they ONLY help if you need them. once you are tuned and making more power than you can flow fuel you need them.
