Yep. 5W-30 in the winter.

If it gets pretty hot in the summer, 10W-30 is a good idea.

I also recommend Castrol GTX High Mileage (green bottle) for your 150k motor. Good stuff

i agree with the weights but i wouldnt go with gastrol gtx on high milage enignes bc castrol sysnthetic has this thing about cleaning out motors which casues oil leaks.. just my .02 i wouldnt put it in my motor.

I think it does cause leaks too, but man that stuff stays clean for weeks after I do an oil change. IMO not one of the worst things you can put in your motor

I ran 10W30 when I lived in Delaware. Now I run 5W30 in Washington state. I've always used Castrol GTX and never had a problem.

'98 EX coupe with 145,000 miles on it. I used the same for my '97 EX coupe that had about 86,000 when I crashed it.

If you're having leaks, you probably have issues elsewhere. I find it unlikely that it's your brand of oil.

I also run Royal Purple 10 w30. Alot of people tell me bad things about it, but I have had good. I use to be on my uncle's pit crew at route 66 before i moved. He ran a 72 chevelle and we have run the same motor for about six to seven years now. No rebuilds. It is a street compression motor that he runs low tens high nines all day. So that is why I like it.
