Default Flywheel I just bought is rusted now.. What do I do?

I bought a used Flywheel for my GSR that was in great condition. It was just resurfaced and lightened. Any way like a fool, I left it inside my car for about a month, I guess some rain got into where it was at, so now it has rust on it covered in random spots, is this any thing to wrory about? I was going to go out and buy some sand paper, but i don't want to sand out any of the grooves it has on the surface, are those important at all?

heres a pic:

It is just surface rust.
I would not use sandpaper, I would use a used peice of steelwool and water and rub lightly. Then make sure you dry it.
