Actually you would be better off getting a manual car rather than converting it.....it's just too expensive. You would spend probably as much as you bought your car for in the end. So my advice would be to just buy a manual car

the hell with what everyone else says bro.. I did it on my 98 LS and it worked fine.. only cost me about 1,500 for all the parts and to get everything installed. Your gonna need the lines to run the fluids.. your gonna need the brackets, "Which I believe is the Bottom and tops" your gonna need the shift linkage, the intermediate shaft, the new tranny mounts, the whole clutch kit " pressure plate flywheel" the pedals of course...the shifter itself.. the boot and then your pretty much set to go after that! lol I know it sounds like alot.. but its more pride doing it this way.. than going the lazy way out and just getting a new car.

So basically i'll lay down a price range of what you can get this pile of stuff for... its best to ask around your "buddies co-workers family" and see if they know anyone.. thats the best way to get deals..

New Tranny " depending on what style LS/GSR/ITR/Y1/SF4 etc etc"---$450-900
----Find anyhting cheaper than that its probley broken or hot lol

Lines/cables--- anywhere from $50-200 bucks depending on if there used or you hit a dealer...

Brackets " Top/Bottom"-- $50-150 same thing, depending on if its used or dealer..

Tranny linkage-- hopefully it comes with the tranny you buy... if not.. theres not "set" price range for that.. i'd assume anywhere between 100-300 bucks though. Couldnt be much more than that though...

Intermediate shaft---$50-100

Tranny Mounts-$80 I believe straight outa the dealer.

Clutch kit-- I got my from F-1 Racing, a whole stage 2 kit including flywheel "8.9" lbs all for only 250.00 shipped to my door... really good deal

Pedals--Anywhere from $40-200 depending on what brand name/quality you go with.

Shifter-- You can get a whole JDM short shifter or normal shifter including " ****/boot/shifter" FOR ABOUT 50-85 out the door..

SO all together bro.. everything I mean EVERYTHING you'll need... your looking at a price range between 700-1500 at the most bro.. the hell with what eanyone else says.. You can do it dude.. its easy.. now if your gonna pay for someone to put it in.. then your looking at another 400-800 Dollars.. but if you have you and your buddies do it.. and follow instructions.. eventually you'll figure it out haha... either way .. I wish you the best of luck bro.. I did it .. and I just wanted to show you its possible.. so cheers and go get em!
