Too soft to be this low?
Setup:
1993 Honda Civic DX Hatch
Tokico Blues
GC coilovers - OTS rates
15x6.5 konig heliums 40 offset
205/50/15 falken ziex 912s
Lowered in the front to one finger gap
I was going up an incline at an angle about 45degrees. Making a right turn into a driveway. When rubbing started to occur on my right wheel/fender. The sidemarker popped out and now the fender is dented inward so that I can't open my passenger door. I'm in the process of having the dent pulled out.
How much higher should I go? Is a 2 finger gap sufficient?
The streets are hella shitty in west la. all hilly and old school engineered.

I understand your point. I had 195s on a previous civic and rarely rubbed.
Just got these tires. so can't really change out. Gonna try raising it up. But not sure how low i can go

Don't forget to get your alignments done after you find the height you're comfortable with.

Yeah you're right. But iono, rolling my fenders seems like a hassle and I haven't done it before. So I don't want to be off. Especially on this car.

Your car's a different year, that's why it don't rub.
Check the Wheel & Tire forum FAQ and you'll get all the info you need on proper tire sizing according to year and model.
OP, if you don't intend to sell/trade the tires, just raise it up about 1-2" and you should be fine. It might still rub on full lock but not enough to worry about.
When you drive up and/or down on steep driveways, try to find the right angle slowly. Unless you don't have insurance, nevermind the **** honking behind you, do what you got to do.
I stop and slow down like a school bus on rough railroad tracks and drive it over doing 2-5mph during rush hours.
Good luck
