Default Looking to build my b16

I am looking to rebuild my b16a2 and was looking for some help on what to do. I want to do rods, pistons, and valve train. I'm 17 and sort of on a budget so keep that in mind. I don't want to sacrifice reliability too much and still want to run pump gas so what do you guys recommend. what do you guys suggest would suit me best?

edit. wrong forum?

it depends on how much u want to spend and your standard of engine rebuild. i am rebuilding/upgrading my b16a sir2 engine this coming weekend.so far.i have spend over $1500 on parts only. CTR pistons, wrist pins and rings, eagle rods, All new gaskets, OEM ITR intake Cam and intake valves. valves springs and retianers, aem fuel rail. new head bolts/studs, new timing belt and water pump. and need to prepare $300 for the dyno tune becasue i raise the compression.
P.S i am doing this by myself .if u have someone to do the job, labor will be around $300~$500

Decide on a goal.

You say you want to rebuild the engine. Do you really mean build for more power, or rebuild because it's worn out and needs it?

I have been running a stock B16A for better part of a decade, and I have to say that these motors are incredibly reliable and durable if you leave them as-is. That is what suggest.

Now if you are looking for lots more power, one word: turbo.

It's hard to coax LOTS of power from a normally aspirated B16.

Do some research and learn, learn, learn.

the motor is worn out. and i want to reBUILD it. i want it to be ready to handle boost or a power adder if i decide to down the road. i was even thinking nitrous.

crazy guy will the ctr pistons handle boost or nitrous? what valvetrain are you running?
