Default power loss

so i bought my integra with a b20vtec already in it, apparently the guy that swapped it in had put the head gasket in backwards so it wasn't sealing the compression correctly, anyway since that problem was taken care of there was a significant power increase. It worked fine for about a week or so, it felt zippy, then my girlfriend asked me to let her take my car, so i let her. a few hours later i hop in and the power had dropped again, the rpm's would shoot up quick but there was no real power...any ideas of what it could be? i know its really vague but just wanted a few opinions.

slipping clutch, that would explain the occasional grind in first gear...is its an expensive fix?

ya if your rpms fly up quick but your noting really going anywhere its a slipping clutch as said above, i dont let anyone drive my car , i have a stage 3 so if someone drives it they will screw it up, unless its a stock clutch no biggie but if its a good clutch dont let others drive it they arent used to it and will F' it up from the begining, get a new clutch and its an inexpensive fix, i got an f1 stage 3 clutch for $140 shipped so if you get an oem or satge 1 its cheaper goodluck and dont let her drive anymore lol
