Default anyone have pics of 6th gen driver side radius rod?

i hit a curb and i think it got stretched out or something

heres the LCA's

LOL!!!!! yeah hella bent

but when installing the new LCA, the old radius rod seemed to be too long, cuz i had to pull back on the brakes and my uncle put in the bolts which only half corrected the problem

thats before with old LCA and no finger gap

anow with old radius rod and new LCA, its a 2finger gap

the unexpletiveed up wheel has 4finger gap

It's hard to tell if the radius rod is bent by looking at pictures, the bends make it hard to tell.

I can tell you that when I hit a curb in my 95 EX I bent the LCA, tore a part of the subframe where the LCA mounts to it and bent the radius rod. For the LCA to bend that much I would think something had to happen to the radius rod.

How do the rubber bushings on the radius rod look? The forward most one on mine was shredded.

I wonder if you might have some subframe damage in the front beam somewhere?

How did you hit the curb? Head on? Sidways? Did your wheelgo over the curb?

It looks like you go some caster issues..

You could have bent the strut, tweaked the shock mount tower or even possibly the knuckle got a good hit.

Id check the shock mount tower, and compare it with the other one. If it looks dimensionally disporportioned id do some tram measurements.

Id like to see a pic of your knuckle. Especially where it bolts to the lca.

Im not to familar with the 6th gen accord suspension componets but i do work on ALOT of fords at the body shop i work at. We do ALOT of heavy collision work and if you have any questions let me know.

U might need a new crossmember...

I hit a massive pothole in my '93 long ago... replaced everything on the front right corner...

Turned out the radius rod was pushed back in the crossmember from the impact. Changed that, car felt brand new, both wheels were in the right place.

U *might* have damage to your knuckle though. Tough to say what it is. Def. look at the xmember tho

cool well ill ony be able to get pics until tommorrow around noon cuz im leaving again

well i *dont* think the knuckle got any damage cuz my problem is in trying to install thre readius rod onto the LCA, i have to push the wheel back towards the mudflap to get the holeson the lca to line up with the radius rod holes whicgh keeps the wheel pushed back towards the mudflap

Because the 6th generation accords have started to show up at junkyards already (i've seen a few on a local junkyard already), i would say you should pick up a new front suspension/steering from another car. Sometimes, it is a lot easier and cheaper to replaces a bunch of stuff all at once, than, replace one part, find out it didn't help, replace another, not good yet, replace one more... ok.. there it is.
Just my 2 cents....

I had this same thing on my old '88 CRX, but the car came that way so I don't know what happened. Anyway, I replaced the lower control arm, front crossmember, and rear crossmember. I also had new shocks (Koni) and springs. After all that, one wheel was still slightly pushed back like yours but not as bad. I can only assume that means the frame is slightly tweaked, but it's so hard to tell! A laser alignment did show my caster was off.

In the end, I put a JimFab traction bar on (replaces from crossmember and radius rods with adjustable radius rods), and I was able to adjust the one wheel a bit to get it centered.

Did you ever figure out what it was and how to fix it . i hit a curb head on and bent the lower control arm the exact same way . I replaced it with a new one and now my radius rod seems longer and i can only fit one bolt in

the wheel is too far back on both sides . the radius rod seems too long and only one bolt hole lines up no matter how u try to pull the LCA or remove the sway bar bushings
