Idle at 3k and throws TPS code(7) replaced it same thing. Any suggestions?

Default Idle at 3k and throws TPS code(7) replaced it same thing. Any suggestions?

Im trying to help a buddy fix his dohc sol. It idels at 3k and throws tps code, we changed it for a new one and does the same thing. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do next?

did you check wiring pins first at ecu and at tps sensor

did you reset your ecu? loosen the screws on the TPS and rotate it a little while the car is running and see if it changes anything

is it possible the piece under the throttle body has backed out? kinda hard to explain, but had that happen on one of mine, idled high or surged.

the piece under the throttle is the fitv. go to sticky faq's. and ull find it.

you have to calibrate the TPS sensor by moving back and fourth. You need a voltmeter to mesure the voltage of the TPS. Check with Honda what the numbers are but you need a certian output at idle and a certian output at wide open.
