Default My new ride

Picked up a 2000 929rr the other day for my new project. Needs a new upper, left mid, stator cover, dent in tank fixed, and a front tire. Other than the obvious damage, the bike is spotless. It was well kept prior to being laid down. The plan as of now will be satin black with some bright red accents (similar to the white and yellow 929 in the last pic). As far as mods, it's got full erion exhaust, PCIIIr and stainless lines.

Here it is:

The Bad:

And paint it similar to this bike, just black and red:

Awesome man, you seem like the guy that enjoys doing a project like that. Good luck with it

I hope I can find a nice bike soon lol, it has been less than a week since I sold mine and it's killing me lol

I just LOVE the headlight on those bikes, makes it look like a badass Transformer

Thanks man. I have just as much fun working on bikes as I do riding them

Nice buy. I was shopping 929/954's for a while and was looking for one in similar condition. Sharkskinz FTW!

Looks good. Is this the one with the quarter-sized dent in the frame you were looking at earlier?

Yup, you can see it right below the corner of the VIN sticker.

20k on the bike, 2-3k on the motor. The first owner raced it (it's partially saftey wired) and he performed all the mods. It's got all the receipts, manuals, tool kit, ect.

If anyone has an upper fairing and the upper part of the fairing stay, let me know

Yea, I talked the guy way down. I used the dent as leverage

Aside from the small things, I just need to find an upper and figure out how to paint it. I've never done graphics/designs, only solid colors.
