Lug nuts, which are the ones that maintain their color?
Ive recently wondered about tuner lug nuts in terms of finish. I have a set of short/close end Muteki lug nuts in black finish. Now they have been on my car for more than a year and no chipping/fading whatsoever has occurred with my lugs. Now a friend with the same one in blue has been chipped to hell (its now part blue...mostly chrome) whenever he takes of his wheels with the lug wrench, however when i take off mine they are still perfect. I heard the Rays lug nuts fade from red to pink and blue to teal...my question is which method is the better one, anodizing or powdercoating? And which brands use what method?

On a related note. I've ordered some skunk2 lugnuts. Im a bit worried that when i wash my wheels i put this wheel cleaner spray on my wheels and it may cause them to discolour.
Is it ok to use those spray cleaners on lugnuts?

I would only use soap and water man. i sprayed some on my spoon lug lug nuts and the color started coming off. Rims were good. Just take the time and clean them.
