low volume chirp ?
im not good at this whole alarm thing, so i needed some help
i basically have a clifford 50.5 and just today, the chirping became a very low volume sorta sounding like theres not enough battery or something--i still chirps, but its very very light! theres been a crazy rain storm in the bay area, and i drove through a couple puddles on the freeway
any suggestions about what is wrong? i will probably head to the shop, but i wanted to know if there was anything i could do for the time being.
If you siren is mounted facing down, it's a good bet the inner cone is filled with water.
If the siren can't be mounted sideways of forwards/backwards, [any way but down or up, mount it facing down but drill a small, [1/8"] hole at the bottom of inner cone.

eg8ai can you let us know if it worked for you? I have the same problem with my alarm and at first i thought it was cuz my battery. The low chirp has occured when my car hasn't been in the rain. It happens about every 1 or 2 weeks and after a couple hours it goes back to normal.. not sure what it is
yeah mines went back to normal no problem actually. i didn't need to drill anything because I just thought the water would normally evaporate once it gets hot, and it returned back to normal. it took actually about 12 hours though. it hasn't happened since. PM fcm maybe he'll know whatsup since im a total noob.
the same thing happened to me actually, ran through a fat *** puddle on 101 and the next day my backup siren was extremely muffled until i tilted it sideways and half a can of water came out and then started working again.
