i have a 89 civic hatch dx and im swapping a a6 block z6 head (mini me) in it with a obd1 si wire harness for it

and everything plugs in perfect except the plugs on the engine bay that go to ecu and gauge cluster they are completely different plugs. and i cant figure out what to do, everyone has always told me it all plugs in, but obviously it doesnt

any help would help alot! thank you

 

Do the plugs have similar wires coming out of them? You could just swap the plugs over.. my2cents

 

the wires are completely colored different between the 2 plugs so i couldnt even start to begin to guees which wires go to which ones

 

If it would help I have the chilton stock wiring diagram, but not for the Z6.

 

are you talking about the engine harness wont plug into the body harness at the shock towers? if so you know you cant plug in a si or z6 engine harness into a dx right? you need to use your stock dx engine harness and mod it for mpfi. or if your talking about the ecu plugs wont plug into your p28 its cause you need a jumper harness. and the plugs for the guage cluster what year cluster are you usein?

 

yes the body harness and ya i cant plug them in they are completely different plugs. im using a gauge cluster out of a 90 si hatch that i swapped in

i think cause people tell people you need an si harness but they dont tell them all you need is plugs off it not use it.
