WTF? H&R springs raised instead of lowered?
I just put the rear pair of H&R black springs (replacing my ebay coilovers) on my DC2 w/ kyb adjustable shocks, and the damn things raised my car like 2-3 inches from the coilovers.
the car used to be at a decent height (fit 1-2 fingers between tire and rear fender), just terrible spring rates, but now i can fit my whole fist between the tire and rear fender.
Can anyone explain? I put the skinnier springs (which i believed to be the rear ones) on the rear shocks, put the tires back on, and now it sits higher. wtf.

I believe the black ones are the sports. Which are a pretty modest drop, around 1.5".
You replaced your ebay coilovers. Those allow you to adjust the ride height to pretty much wherever you want.
So yea, its definatly possible that these springs will cause your car to ride higher then before.
Explain skinnier springs or better yet post a picture.

yeah, it sounds like you switched the springs fornt and back.
also, you have to drive the car around the block. at LEAST take the ebrake off. that will throw your initial results off completely! simple mistake... but you need to let everything settle first before taking any measurement. a drive around the block is all you need for minor changes, maybe more for drastic ride height changes.
lastly, be sure you load the suspension before tightening all the bolts to each bushing. this is necessary to not bind and tear your bushings.
really lastly, get an alignment done after changing ride heights. its mandatory to fix your toe adjustment in order to prevent uneven tire wear.
