is the cable from auto and manual . the same? and what kind of a job is it to replace? thanks

 

yup its the same... just disconnect both ends (remove the cluster, disconnect clip; remove boot, unplug from tranny) (also remove plug at the firewall) now take your new cable and duct tape it to the old one from inside the car...have someone pull the old one from the engine bay and feed the new one through the fire wall...reconnect, re-install cluster
