Default Grinding noise...Help!!

Yes, I have searched and the thread that seemed to help had the info removed.

My car makes a grinding noise as soon as it is in motion. It gets louder as it speeds up. It's a grinding, humming noise. Very bothersome.

I jacked up the car and the left wheel moves when its held at the 9-3 o'clock position but no movement at the 12-6 position.

Question. Is this problem my wheel bearings? Do I need to get a new hub assembly?

Help!! Thanks

If its humming, sounds like wheel bearings to me. I didnt know they made a grinding niose. I think you have the culprit though. *edited*

I am 100% it is not tranny related. The tranny shifts smoothly in all gears, even at high rpms. I even shift sometimes without the clutch. Very smooth.

the grinding is probably your rotor rubbing against the caliper if the wheel bearing is that bad.

Maybe, id say its bearing itself tearing itself up though

I cant figure it out. I raised it up and the wheel does not grind when I turn it by hand.

Well, I removed everything. I have isolated the issue to the wheel bearings.

Now, how the hell do I take it out of there....am I just going to have to take it to a shop to have it pressed etc.

I read somewhere about a hammer way... lol
