grinding noise when going 60mph or above
My friends civic is making a odd grinding metal grinding noise when he is driving 60mph or higher. I have tried to figure what the hell it is for the past 2 week and cannot figure it out for the life of me. and this only happens when he is going at or above the speed. Could it be an alignment issue with the wheels or what?
TIA

does it go away when you turn the steering wheel to either direction? (swerve) if it dose then you got wheel bearing problems

I had that problem and after replacing both of my halfshafts the problem went away. My halfshafts were already torn but I guess it got worst.

if u have a broken cv boot and he has been driving like that, water and dirt can get in there causeing broken wheal barrings. that just what happened to my car.

how can this happen? the bearings are sealed. and if water and dirt can get in, it'll get whether your boot is broken or not. the axle and bearings are 2 different things. and according to the op, it sounds like your bearings.
